I am reorganizing a folder of generated songs that has become difficult to maintain. Some exports have a faint metallic texture, but I also want to remember exactly what came out of each session. My first instinct is to retain every original. The difficult part is deciding what belongs beside them when I make a more comfortable listening copy. I have not processed this collection yet, so I am asking about the filing policy before choosing a tool. Would you give listening copies their own folder? I can note the original creation date, but I am less sure how much processing detail is useful months later. A brief processing note seems manageable. I have room to retain both versions. How do you label these copies so their history stays clear?
